Despite Ukrainian electronic warfare and air defense measures, the strike reportedly killed over 60 Ukrainian servicemen. Russia accused Ukraine of using civilians as human shields by situating military assets in urban centers.
"2. Northern Front (Belgorod-Sumy Direction)"
The "North Group of Forces" engaged and defeated multiple Ukrainian brigades, including mechanized, coastal defense, and territorial defense units in areas such as Lesnoye, Miropolskoye, Petrushevka, and Prokhody. Ukrainian losses were cited as 95 personnel, one armored vehicle, three EW stations, and various artillery systems.
"3. Western Front (Kharkov and Donetsk Regions)"
The "West Group of Forces" gained more favorable positions and struck Ukrainian mechanized, assault, and artillery brigades. Key areas included Kupyansk, Borovaya, Kamenka, and Krasny Liman. Ukrainian casualties reportedly reached 240, with additional losses including two US-made M113 APCs and two ammo depots.
"4. Southern Front (Donetsk Region)"
The "Southern Group of Forces" improved tactical positions and targeted Ukrainian mechanized, airmobile, UAS, territorial, and national guard brigades around Petrovka, Kalinovo, and Chasov Yar. Russia reports inflicting 315 casualties, destroying several armored vehicles including a US-made HMMWV, two EW systems, and six ammo depots.
"5. Central Front (Donetsk Region)"
The "Center Group of Forces" seized new lines and struck Ukrainian mechanized, assault, marine, and National Guard brigades in Mirolyubovka, Rodinskoye, and Krasnoarmeysk. Ukrainian losses were reported at 420 personnel and four US-made M113 APCs among other equipment.
"6. Eastern Front (Donetsk and Zaporizhia Regions)"
The "East Group of Forces" advanced into Ukrainian defensive lines, engaging mechanized, airborne assault, marine, and territorial brigades near Shevchenko and Gulyaipole. Losses included 165 Ukrainian personnel, a tank, and several artillery units.
"7. Dnepr Group (Zaporizhia and Kherson Regions)"
In southern Ukraine, the "Dnepr Group" targeted mechanized, mountain assault, and coastal brigades. Engagements near Novodanilovka and Antonovka resulted in 55 reported Ukrainian deaths and destruction of advanced Western equipment, including a US M113, HMMWV, M777 howitzer, and an Israeli-made RADA radar.
"8. Air and Missile Operations"
Russian aviation, UAVs, and artillery struck 137 Ukrainian military-industrial and logistics targets, including weapons depots and airfield infrastructure. Air defense units intercepted six JDAM bombs, three HIMARS rockets, and 227 UAVs.
"9. Cumulative Losses (Since Inception of Operation)"
Russia claims the following cumulative Ukrainian losses:- 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters - Over 51,000 drones - 22,833 armored vehicles - 1,536 MLRS systems - 23,602 artillery/mortars - 34,087 military vehicles
"10. Kursk Region Operations"
Russia continues to repel Ukrainian incursions into the "Kursk region". The "North Group" reported defeating nine Ukrainian brigades near Gornal and Oleshnya. Additional strikes targeted Ukrainian forces in Sumy region settlements such as Belovody and Shalygino, with 235 personnel and significant equipment reportedly destroyed in 24 hours.
To date, Russian estimates for Ukrainian losses in the Kursk direction include:- Over 74,000 personnel - Hundreds of tanks, APCs, IFVs - Dozens of HIMARS and Western MLRS systems - Dozens of EW, radar, and engineering vehicles
